Just moved from LA to SD o<-< Aannnndd I just recently moved home to LA in September from spending 2.5 years in Baltimore for grad school. I spent that time living like a poor student...saving money/energy and freezing during the winter and baking in the summer...moved 3 times (apt --> shared house —> shared house), then finally home to LA! I thought I was done moving!! At least until we bought our forever home...whelp THAT IS NOT THE CASE 😭 Stupid fiance got a promotion so here we are in SD. Luckily I hadn’t gotten a job yet waiting for my licensure to finally come through. So it’s not like I had to leave a job to move so that’s good. Moving is so stressful! I have so much sh*t because of cosplay and all the different crafts I like doing 😓 and my fiance ALSO has a lot of stuff. So us combined is a nightmare move. We have over 400 articles and boxes the movers counted 😱 so many boxes there’s barely any room to walk! Our 2nd bedroom was supposed to be a combined guest room and craft space...but there quite literally is no room for the shelves + a bed. So my fiance (who clearly loves me even with all my junk) decided no guest bed! It’s all my craft room! Haha but even then there isn’t much space 😅 Luckily, our saving grace is that we can rent a garage/storage unit from the complex for cheap ($85/month). Pretty much all my cosplay is going to be stored there so I built myself a pvc shelf!! Hehe it's perfect so I can see everything and access each bin easily and no bins get squished! 😁 (I broke the top of one before because I stacked too many on top =\) Notes on how I crafted this shelf for future me if I need to add extensions or anything:
—> everything is a combination of 5”, 14”, 22” pvc pipes, 4-way connectors, and 3-way pvc connectors Home depot: one length of PVC pipe =
Casual Walkure hangout with the whole gang!!
Ate some okonomiyaki at Chinchikurin, grabbed some matcha lattes & ice cream, sang our hearts out at Max Karaoke, and finished the night off at the art show! Hehe 🥰 Using my fabric scraps to piece together a cosplay!! Feels good to use my scraps hehe perfect because you cant see it under the coat! 😝 First time attempting to hand embroider 😜 not bad I think!
